Calendula Extract

Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract

A flower extract rich in flavonoids and triterpenes, used to calm redness and support skin comfort.

Definition

What is it?

Calendula extract comes from the flowers of Calendula officinalis, also known as pot marigold. It has been used for centuries across different cultures for skin irritation and minor wounds, long before its compounds were studied by modern cosmetic science. It is related to, but different from, ornamental Tagetes marigolds, with which it is sometimes confused because of the shared common name.
